Mengwi is a district in the Badung region of Bali. The capital of Badung is Mangupura. In Mengwi there is a very beautiful temple complex Taman Ayun. It was built not only for beauty, but also as a system for irrigating the fields. The temple is surrounded by many pools connected to rice fields. It is the second largest temple in Bali, after Pura Besakih.
